I'm a country kid, all grown up, with a love for the woods, fields and streams of Northeastern PA. I attended a one-room school through the fifth grade, was bussed out of state for the rest of my education through high school, and graduated from a small liberal arts college in central PA about 35 years ago. I lived for three years on the west bank of the MIssissippi river in a suburb of the late great City of New Orleans in the early '70's, and fear I will never have the courage to go back there now. I work when I must, read whenever I can, spend too much time on-line, and am much too fond of fine food and shopping. I have a charming husband, a genius child (also all grown up) and a beautiful dog, all of whom I love to distraction. If they ever vex me, you won't read about it here. My boss, on the other hand, is fair game. As are all bureaucrats, ignoramuses, bad drivers, surly sales clerks, incompetent professionals and certain relatives who don't subscribe to the interwebs. I will, on occasion, speak of things that DON'T irk or vex me, if I am moved to do so. I may even share an occasional chuckle.
